Star Plus, Star Gold, Channel V and Star Vijay International have started in the TOP TV package on Astra 4A (4.8 degree East): 12645, Vertical, SR 30000 and fec 2/3 - encrypted. The channels are only available on the African beam for subscribers of TOP TV in South Africa.  

The same channels are also available in Europe on Eurobird 9A (9 degree East):  11804, Vertical, SR 27500 and fec 3/4 - free-to-air, but it seems to be that the signal of the channels from here are redirected to South Africa, and the channels may leave Eurobird 9A again in the near future.

STAR company, which owns the channels, in UK has denied rumours that Star Vijay International and Channel V are going to be launched in Europe as STAR is already telecasting Star Plus, Star Gold, Star News and Star One on SKY Digital package on Astra (28,2 degree East) for UK viewers. 

The name of the Star channels on Eurobird 9A is also noticeable as they end with "SA" which may indicate "South Africa". The schedule of the channels are also not intended European viewers.
