Tamil 24 TV was expected to start on Pongal day on 15th January 2011 - as announced on their website www.tamil24.tv. They had prepared everything to start on Pongal day, but due to some reasons it was not possible for them to start on this day.  

Media Asia has been in contact with Tamil 24 TV and they have told us that their channel will be back again on Eurobird 9A satellite on 9 degree East on same frequency 11843, Vertical, SR 27500 and fec 3/4. They could not tell us an exact date, but they expect to launch within one to two months.
