Since Deepam TV has got new owner, the channel has undergone some changes. The channel was started in 2000 where it showed Sun TV programmes. After Sun TV launched in Europe, Deepam TV has then showed programmes from various Tamil TV channels from India - like some Jaya TV-, Vijay TV-, Polimer TV-, and Raj TV-programmes. 

Now Deepam TV is announcing that they will soon show programmes from Zee Tamizh, which is the Tamil channel from Zee Network in India. Zee Tamizh is the channel which is telecasting the popular "Solvathellam Unmai" programme.

This new move is expected to give a boost to the channel.

In the same time Deepam TV has also announced the airing times of their news broadcast to following times:

Morning News: 08.30 CET
Evening News: 19.00 & 21.00 CET

Evening news two times close to each other seems not to be well planned. GTV had the same airing times of their news broadcasts in the evening, but they changed it to 18.00 and 21.00 CET later.
