As per the available information, Reliance Jio will offer Standard-Definition (SD) channels at Rs 200 and SD+HD channels at Rs 400, but what’s this service actually? Is it the Jio DTH service which was rumoured for a long time as ‘Will Be Launched Soon?’ And we don’t think that the JioHomeTV service is the much-hyped Jio DTH service as we confirmed the same via the company’s customer care team, local Reliance Digital Stores. So, it’ safe to assume that Jio DTH service is not going to launch anytime soon.

ddfreedishThe suspense surrounding Prasar Bharti's policy on its free direct-to-home (DTH) platform is likely to end soon. The pubcaster has told the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) that it will come out with a new policy for DD Free Dish in a few weeks.

Prasar Bharti made this submission before the tribunal that is hearing petitions filed by broadcasters against Doordarshan’s decision to scrap slot auctions without putting in place a new policy.

When Lebara Play was sold to Yupp TV, most of the channels were migrated to Yupp TV's Tamil TV packages - but not IBC channels. After some negotiations between Yupp TV and IBC management, they have finally agreed about the distribution of the channels. 

lebaraplayLebara Play - a leading Tamil IPTV provider, has been sold to another leading South Asian IPTV-provider, Yupp TV. The take-over was announced through Lebara Play today with a general message, where Lebara Play is thanking all subscribers and their support, and that Lebara Play now becomes Yupp TV. 

All set-top-boxes from Lebara Play will be migrated to Yupp TV through an update, which is nescessary to do to continue watching TV-channels from Yupp TV. The update has to be done before 19th April and after that it will not be possible to use Lebara Play service.
