In August IBC Tamil - Cineulagam office Inauguration was held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu in India. Already CineUlagam is existing as a website with news about the Tamil cinema world.

The news was published on TTN Tamil TV's facebook page, and a new website www.tamiltelevisionnetwork.com has been launched and currently it is possible to watch the live stream of TTN Tamil TV. The channel is showing Tamil cultural programmes, documentaries about the freedom struggle of Eelam Tamils, songs about Eelam etc. 

The channel is going to open small divisions in different countries to record shows to telecast on the channel. People interested in working for the channel and for developing the channel are welcomed by the team. 

dtamilProgrammes have been curated for family audiences in Tamil Nadu, from across Discovery Network. DTamil has signed Tamil actor Karunakaran, in his maiden appearance on TV, as the host of ‘Asaalta Alaravidum Pullingo’.

Discovery Communications India has revamped DTamil into an entertainment channel that will have best of programming, curated for family audiences in Tamil Nadu, from across Discovery Network, including Discovery, Animal Planet, TLC, Discovery Kids, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo and Scripps Networks Interactive.

sunnxtChennai-based Sun TV Network, which operates to the most widely watched pay channel in India, has inked a content licensing deal with Reliance Jio, India’s biggest telecom operator.

Under the deal, Sun TV’s content — including those that it has purchased digital rights for — will be made available on Jio’s apps.

With this, thousands of movies have become available for Jio Cinema customers. Separately, Sun Group’s live TV channels, including HD versions, are available on the JioTV app.

Sun TV is estimated to have the rights to over 4,000 movies, mostly in South Indian languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu, including hits like ’96’.
