A magistrate court in Chennai on Tuesday granted conditional bail to Sun TV chief operating officer (COO) C Praveen Kumar, who was arrested on a sexual harassment charge filed by a former woman employee of the TV network.
XI metropolitan magistrate Abraham Lincolin granted him bail on the condition of furnishing property documents worth Rs 36 lakh as surety.
The court also directed him to present himself before central crime branch officials at 10.30am daily until further orders.
Assistant public prosecutor vehemently opposed the bail plea stating the central crime branch (CCB) of the Chennai police had received three new complaints of sexual harassments against him. These had been filed by his former colleagues.
