The Madras High Court today ordered an injunction with immediate effect restraining Chennai-based listed firm SUN TVBSE 4.70 % from airing copyrighted music works of Sony Music.

The order was delivered by K Kalyanasundaram today after music company Sony Music. The classification of music would include versions and even underlying works. This injunction will also restrain singing contests where renderings of original scores and songs are performed in a reality show scenario.
