TRT Tamil Olli was started on Pongal day 14th January 1997 as the first 24 H Tamil radio station in Europe. TRT (Tamil Radio & Television) is currently only available as a radio station. TRT Tamil Ozhi TV (The first Tamil TV station in Europe) was later renamed to TTN Tamil TV in 2001.
