While we had earlier reported that Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is all set to make his television debut with a reality show 'BIGG BOSS', the latest news is that the star actor has confirmed doing the popular reality show. The star actor will be hosting the Tamil version of the reality show soon to be aired on Vijay TV.
The International format is being introduced first time in the Tamil market and on Vijay TV. The show would see the coming together of 15 celebrities in a posh house with all the amenities but who are completely cut off from technology and the outside world for 100 days.

For K Raja, a working professional, the BBC Tamil radio broadcast used to be the only source of information to keep himself updated on current affairs. “From the war in Sri Lanka to the Gulf War, our source of updates in the 1980s and 90s was the Tamizhosai BBC Tamil Radio service,” he recalled.

Nearly 76 years after it was started on May 3, 1941, the broadcast had its last show on April 30. The short wave transmission broadcast, which became a daily programme from 9.15 p.m. to 9.45 p.m. in the 90s, initially began as a weekly programme. The radio broadcast then became a bi-weekly programme in the eighties.

Star India’s Tamil GEC Star Vijay had recently launched a couple of weekend shows – a chat show – Anbudan DD with Dhivyadharshini or DD of the Tamil chat show Koffee with DD fame and a Tamil reality stand-up comedy show - Kings of Comedy Juniors. The former airs on Saturday’s at 6pm while the latter airs on Saturday’s and Sunday’s at 830pm.

London Tamil Media Ltd., which is currently operating IBC Tamil Radio, IBC Tamil TV and IBC Music TV, is soon going to add more Tamil channels to its lineup.
