A new Tamil radio station has started from Paris in France. The station is called ITBC Radio, and it has started as "Thamizhamutham" on the multicultural radio station, called Radio Soleil, in Paris on FM 88.6. ITBC Radio has been started by the wellknown and experienced media personality in UK/Europe, Mr. S.K. Rajan, who has run Thamizhamutham Radio in early days in France, and later worked for IBC Tamil from UK.

Exchange4Media: The company plans to spend Rs 200-250 crore on satellite rights acquisition.
Sun TV Network management has revealed that the company will make big investments in TV content and film content in FY22 and beyond. At the same time, OTT content investments will continue to take a backseat in the first half of the fiscal. The company plans to spend Rs 200-250 crore on satellite rights acquisition.
In the Q4 and FY21 earnings conference call, the company's management said that 5-6 big-budget, non-fiction shows based on the international format will be launched during the fiscal in Telugu and Malayalam markets. These shows comprising 30-40 episodes will run for 3-4 months and cost per show is expected to be Rs 25-30 crore.

In what could be its biggest launch till date, Indian streaming platform Zee5 is all set to enter the United States market on 22 June.
With this, the platform has set the stage for its rapid growth in a market that has over 5.4 million diaspora audiences with a deep cultural and language connection to its content. Zee5 is currently under beta testing in the US. This direct-to-consumer service launch is especially significant at a time when Indians settled in the US, many of whom remain deeply connected to their roots, are unable to travel home.

The ministry of information and broadcasting has directed all multiple system operators (MSOs) and local cable operators (LCOs) not to broadcast Hope TV, a Christian lifestyle channel for 30 days.
The decision was taken after the channel’s distributor Noida Software Technology Part Limited (NSTPL) failed to deposit the annual permit fee for downlinking of the channel. The distributor also failed to submit any clarification to the ministry's show-cause notices on the use of an unauthorised logo.
