Mantaro Network gets MIB nod to launch "News J2"

newsj2Chennai headquartered Mantaro Network which runs Tamil News channel "News J" has got permission from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) to launch and operate another News channel called "News J2". The Ministry granted the satellite TV license in January month to Mantaro Network.

The company got the nod from the Ministry on 17th December, 2020 to operate ‘News J2’ from Intelsat 17 on Tata Communications teleport services. The channel will be the second Tamil News channel from the network with the Ministry granting the license under ‘News’ category to Mantaro Network. Already the company is running the news channel "News J". 

Currently the channel is telecasting free-to-air on Intelsat 17 (66 degree East): 3845, Vertical, SR 28800 and fec 5/6, and reports says that it is currently showing the same feed as News J.
