Mallya group under CBI lens for Kalaignar TV 'bribe'
Probing the trail of Rs 200 crore, which was paid to Kalaignar TV by Swan Telecom in the 2G spectrum scam, the CBI has now reached at the doors of four private companies including UB Group and India Cements.
While the names of the other two companies could not be ascertained, CBI officials said the four had facilitated payments to Kalaignar TV to help it repay Rs 200 crore to Swan.

Academy moves court against Star Vijay for creating Oscar lookalike
Star Vijay has landed itself in a troubled legal muddle by designing its award statuette as a look-alike of the Oscar awarded by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the United States.
The Academy has approached the Delhi High Court claiming infringement of their trademark. It has stated that Vijay TV was awarding a trophy which is similar to the Oscar.
Apart from a permanent injunction, the Academy has sought damages of Rs two million.
Justice G P Mittal has referred the case for mediation and observed that in case the parties failed to resolve the issue, the Academy would produce prototype of the Oscar trophy on the next date of hearing

National Geographic Channel launches Tamil feed
After successfully connecting with audiences in Telugu and Bengali less than a year back, National Geographic Channel will now connect with the over 72 million Tamil speaking community across Tamil Nadu.
With this launch, Nat Geo is now present in Bengali, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi apart from English.National Geographic Channel, through the 24 hour Tamil feed, will showcase their properties across science, technology, history, culture, nature and wildlife.

Star's first experiment to simulcast reality show on channels
For the first time on Indian television, a show is going to be common on Hindi and regional general entertainment channels.
Demonstrating its pan India power, Star India is launching its big ticket dance reality show, Just Dance, on three of its channels simultaneously and also on two channels down south.
Just Dance will hit the TV screens on 18 June and will be aired on Star Plus, Star One and Star Pravah (Marathi entertainment channel) at Saturday-Sunday 9 pm band.
The show will also have a deferred telecast on Asianet and Star Vijay in the afternoon slot.
